To that end, check out the new Ritz-Carlton smartphone app, which leverages GPS tracking, social media, and a QR scanner to enhance your luxe stay in various ways. You will also find curated tips from Ritz-Carlton’s president about his favorite places at every single Ritz-Carlton location (think: a secret garden in Sanya or a Viennese crystal chandelier in Doha); GPS-based tips on local sightseeing, dining and shopping via the hotel’s integrated World Concierge program for foursquare; a local events calendar; basic hotel reservation functions; and a “Let Us Stay With You” section, which offers feature stories, tips, recipes and social sharing.  Consider this like having an expert Ritz-Carlton concierge in your pocket to give your global travels the Ritz fix.

The Ritz-Carlton app is available for free in Apple’s App Store and via Google Play, formerly Android Market.
