NYE Atlanta: Wine, Dine & Re-Align

From Sound Table’s groove-tastic The Soulphonics and Ruby Velle music set, to ASO’s Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers-inspired program; from Restaurant Eugene’s Puttin’ on the Ritz formal dinner, to Halo Lounge’s burlesque act and MTV DJs; and from Rathbun’s decadent 5-course menu, to Rosebud’s down-home goodness, this NYE has something for everyone. Don’t miss some of the city’s swanky hotel packages too—for those hankering for a mini stay-cation. ASO New Year’s Eve

Ring in the New Year with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. The symphony will evoke the era of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers with classics by Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and Irving Berlin. Tickets $30-$68, http://www.atlantasymphony.org

BLT Steak

Chef Cyrille Holota is cooking up a special gourmet prix fixe menu for $85 per person with last seating at 10PM. Menu items include: Armagnac foie gras terrine; Kusshi oysters; roasted tenderloin venison with camelized quince, truffle polenta, perigord black truffle; roasted Maine lobster with cauliflower-apple risotto and truffle sauce; black trumpet salsify fricassee with roasted chestnut and thyme pheasant jus; millefeuille tangerine; bittersweet chocolate pudding with salted caramel Chantilly. Cake at Fox Theatre

Have your Cake (and eat it too) at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on New Year’s Eve with a performance by the alt band Cake . Tickets range from $55 to $100 for the festive show. Doors open at 8PM and the show starts at 9PM. Go for a double-header and check out B.B. King at the Fox the night before, Dec. 30. Call 800.745.3000 for tickets. 

Canoe

Chef Carvel is preparing a special a la carte menu for NYE with savory specials and a champagne toast at midnight. Seating is open but call 770.432.2663 for reservations.

Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse

Enjoy live music by Bria Kam from 8:30-12:30, a prix fixe 5-course menu including roasted beet salad, chestnut soup, butter poached Maine lobster, grilled beef with red wine blackberry reduction, and champagne sabayon with fresh raspberries. $75 per person with an additional $35 for wine pairings. Call 404.844.4810 for reservations.

Eclipse di Luna

Halo Lounge’s  12th Night-NYE

Beginning at 9PM, Halo will be hosting a NYE bash with an open bar from 9-10PM, DJ X (from MTV), a burlesque performance by Mignette Magnifique, complimentary dessert spread, and sponsorship by Belvedere and Moet & Chandon. Call 404.962.7333 for reservations.

JCT. Kitchen & Bar

Chef Ford Fry is offering a $65, 4-course menu (a “taste” plus 3 courses). Menu items include: spicy seafood gumbo with local smoked sausage; caramelized onion  torelloni and lacquered heritage pork belly; “chicken stand” fried Georgia quails with potato and turnip gratin; all night beef short ribs and seared sea scallops; vanilla bean burnt custard with coca-cola “moon” pie.

La Tavola

La Tavola celebrated NYE Italian style with a 3-course prix fixe dinner for $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Menu items include: rabbit liver crostini, bay scallop risotto, chestnut pappardelle with wine-braised wild boar, ricotta gnocchi with pached farm egg and black truffle sauce, and burnt orange ricotta cheesecake.

Livingston

Celebrate the New Year in style in the glam environs of Livingston restaurant and bar. Enjoy a 5-course meal for $55 per person (wine pairings an additional $35). After dinner, head into the glittering bar/lounge for live pop/rock music by the Justin Borgman Band, drink specials, party favors, and a massive balloon drop and complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Local Three

This new restaurant favorite is offering a three-course prix fixe dinner for $49 per person (plus tax and gratuity) with 6PM, 7:45PM and 9:30PM seatings. Optional wine pairings are an additional $30 per person. Menu items include: creamy celery root soup with caviar, winter truffle, crispy potato; Maine lobster and uni risotto; foie gras and short rib ravioli; wood-oven roasted duck breast with parsnip puree, cabbage and warm spice jus, and Lots ‘o Chocolate (hot chocolate, white chocolate-honey “truffles”, and warm éclair. ONE. Midtown Kitchen

Opera

Opera nightclub will be in full force on NYE with several DJs in the house and tickets ranging from $30-$150 dollars. $100 gets you access to an open premium bar.  A gourmet buffet is included with ticket price from 8-10PM. Call 404.872.1150 for reservations.

Parish

Celebrate NYE at Parish with live music, midnight champagne toast, hats, noisemakers and various specials in addition to the regular menu. Specials include Kumomoto oysters with black pepper-pineapple granite; foie gras terrine with spiced gread, orange marmalade, citron salt; cast iron ribeye with butter poached lobster, potato soufflé, veal jus; and pan roasted sablefish with oyster mushroom and butter bean succotash, truffle crème. Park 75 at Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta

Ring in NYE at Four Seasons with a 5-course prix fixe menu for $95 with a champagne toast at midnight. The regular Park 75 menu is also available. Stay for after dinner dancing with a live DJ until 1 AM. Call 404.253.3840.

Pricci

This Italian eatery will ring in the Capo D’anno with a four-course, prix-fixe menu for $69 per person (tax and gratities not included). Wine pairings are an additional $30 per person. Menu items include: beef short rib ravioli, caprese with house-made mozzarella, petite lamb meatballs, grilled Branzino with fresh chillies, gorgonzola-crusted filet mignon, and Napolean-style Babba Rhum. Rathbun’s

Rathbuns offers a 5-course prix fix menu with choices for $85 (plus tax and gratuity). Menu items include: seared foie gras with bacon marshmallow; pan fried skate wing with Anson Mills polenta and Umbria black truffles; elderberry scented sweet potato bisque with smoked apple and chestnut; cabbage carbonara with enoki mushrooms, S.C. Triggerfish with butternut squash dumplings; heart of ribeye with mustard greens, pomegranate pot likker and smoked manchego; Bailey’s pot de crème; Fuji apple cobbler with cheese straw crust. Ray’s on the River

Ray’s on the River is hosting a night of dinner and dancing on the pavilion. The riverfront resto will have a special, 5-course menu, champagne toast, party favors, a five-piece band and a balloon drop. Festivities start at 8PM with dinner service at 8:45PM. Restaurant Eugene: Puttin’ on the Paris Ritz

Restaurant Eugene will re-create the atmosphere of Paris Ritz, circa 1898, and the fine French cuisine of Auguste Escoffier on this night: specifically the first NYE menu Escoffier created for the hotel. Enjoy a seven-course menu before 7PM for $150 (wine pairing an additional $60) or an eleven-course menu after 7:30PM for $225 (wine pairings an additional $75). Also on hand to add cheer: a cash bar at Holeman and Finch (open exclusively to Restaurant Eugene patrons on this night) and a Parisian street band. Call 404.355.0321.

Rosebud’s Celebration of the South

Chef Ron Eyester is cooking up Southern favorites for NYE which can be ordered a la carte all night long in addition to the regular Rosebud menu. Some of the specials include chicken liver ravioli with smoked bacon marmalade, duck confit with sweet potato and peppercorn biscuit and sweet tea jus, and Berkshire pork chop with smoked cheddar grits, Low Country oyster stew and crispy onions.  Knock it back with a Cheerwine Cocktail or Southern Mai Thai. Continue the revelry across the street at Family Dog where Whiskey Please will play country rock (free admission to Rosebud diners or $10 for general public). Make reservations at 404.347.9747.

Serpas

This Old Fourth Ward restaurant offers an early dining four-course prix fixe menu until 6:45 PM for $50 per person and a later five-course prix fixe menu for late night revelers for $70 per person (beverages, taxes and gratuities not included).Guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne at the countdown.  Feast on a selection of items including foie gras torchon with apricot jelly, lobster bisque with chile croutons, fried lobster tail with creamy lobster whip potatoes, veal osso busco with fall squash puree and bacon wilted cabbage, and milt chocolate salted caramel tart. South City Kitchen Midtown and Vinings

South City Kitchen will be offering a delicious 3-course prix fixe dinner with all the Southern fixings for $39.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity). Menu items include house pimento cheese with Benton’s “prosciutto,” seared scallops and pork belly, buttermilk fried chicken and Georgia apple red velvet cake with brown butter cream cheese icing. St Regis Atlanta

Begin your evening by dining at Paces 88 on a special 6-course menu. Menu items include: herb gougere smoked salmon tartar; lobster veloute with truffle foam, napoleon of parsnip with chilled lobster salad; grilled beef tenderloin with roasted pumpkin silk, braised Swiss chard with pancetta and dry figs, black garlic and port wine reduction; almond and raspberry gateaux.

The Havana Club

For the young and frisky (think 20–somethings) there’s  The Havana Club. Billing itself as the biggest NYE celebration in Atlanta, Havana Club will host multiple bars, 7 international DJs, a champagne toast, balloon drop, laser light show, aerialists, early hors d’oeuvres and over 3,000 guests!

The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead

This gracious hotel is offering an Elegant Eve package for $999 on NYE that includes overnight accommodations in an executive suite with late check-out; a “champagne and pearls” reception with Dom Perignon and Ossetra caviar in The Wine Bar; a 5-course dinner for two with paired wines and live music in The Dining Room at 8:30PM,  a midnight toast, party favors and overnight valet parking. The Sound Table: The Soulphonics and Ruby Velle

This hipster eatery/lounge presents “A Very Funky New Year’s Eve” with the sultry tunes of Atlanta band The Soulphonics and Ruby Velle, as well as live DJ support from Karl Injex. There will be 2 music sets at 10PM and Midnight. Tickets are $15-$20.

Two Urban Licks

Spend New Year’s Eve enjoying the panoramic views at TWO, a menu of specials and the band Breeze Kings, beginning at 7:30 PM. The regular menu will also be available for the night. There will be a complimentary champagne toast and balloon drop at midnight. Call 404.522.4622 for reservations.

W Atlanta Buckhead: Market and Whiskey Blue
