Prada Lands at Lenox
Lenox Square’s luxury wing just got a fashionable new tenant, Italian luxury house Prada opening Sat. Dec. 10

Prada enters the Atlanta market with engines blazing and playful spring and resort collections at their new Lenox Square boutique.
Muccia Prada, patron saint of the arty bohemian, is always up to something. Even when she’s channeling the oh-so-prim and proper 1950s, as she did with her recent spring and resort collections, she still manages to make the collections slightly edgy and out-there. To wit: her obsession with the 50’s sexy car culture for her spring 2012 collection. This obsession was translated into sleek leather skirts emblazoned with vintage autos, racy stilettoes that sport curvy tail fins (or is that engine flames?), and a handbag depicting a vintage auto on bottle-green leather. Rocket science also got an homage with a flirty vintage print of rockets and spaceships for a futuristic blouse.
Resort 2012 was equally attuned to the 50’s. But this time Muccia had her eyes on Elvis’ contrasting yoke Baracuda jacket from King Creole. Here, it’s translated into a ladylike wrap. This is fashion with an edgy sense of humor and a wink-wink. But there’s plenty of conservative classics as well: pretty cardigans in sorbet shades, fun striped wedges, pleated full skirts and, of course, Prada’s covetable handbags. Men are not excluded either. Muccia’s spring men’s line took inspiration from the links life and the world of golf (with a twist of course). According to Prada’s PR, the Atlanta boutique will carry ready to wear for men and women, plus handbags, shoes and accessories. Rev up your shopping engines and race to this sleek, Italian fashion boutique!
