Test Drive St. Regis New York Hotel’s New Bentley Suite
OK men, ever wanted to sleep in your Bentley? Now’s your chance.
By Nancy Staab
The brand new Bentley Suite at the St. Regis New York hotel boasts the ultimate perk: a kitted-out Mulsanne parked outside.
First they paired up with Tiffany & Co. on a, you-guessed-it, Tiffany blue master suite. Then they followed it up with couture, Dior-themed living quarters. Now Starwood, owner of New York’s St. Regis Hotel, has paired with bespoke British automaker Bentley for a more masculine-oriented crash pad. The 1,700 square feet Bentley Suite boasts diamond-quilted leather walls, a luxe sleigh bed crafted of burled wood (one of Bentley’s signature materials), metallic accents like a silver mirror (inspired by carbon fiber wheel rims), artwork depicting Bentley’s heritage, black leather tile floors and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Fifth Avenue and Central Park. It’s like curling up and sleeping in your luxe cream and black Bentley—something I am sure plenty of owners of this classic car have done or wanted to do--only a tad roomier! This Art Deco-inspired crib includes a living room, dining room, entryway foyer and one-and-a-half baths.
Oh, and book this suite and you also get your own personal chauffer and a 2013 Bentley Mulsanne luxury limo to transport you wherever you heart desires within a ten-block radius. It’s the first Mulsanne in the U.S. and was given a few St. Regis upgrades like the hotel’s crests on the headrests and tread plates, a built-in bottle cooler and champagne flutes.... because that’s how you roll.
Book fast, because we hear this suite is reserved through 2012. The suite is available starting at $9,500 plus tax per night at www.stregisnewyork.com
