Adler’s Southern Debut
- Photos by Ben Rose
ATL’s design set turned out in droves for the grand opening of Jonathan Adler’s “happy chic” boutique in Westside
The Jonathan Adler boutique in Westside
A packed-house crowd was welcomed by designer Jonathan Adler, who flew in for the fete, Atlanta GM Christopher Martin and ten local party hosts: Radcliffe Bailey, Mark Boomershine, Ginny Brewer, Julia-Carr Bayler, Catherine Cocke, Christine Eisner, Sid Mashburn, Todd Murphy, Heather Roberts and Danielle Rollins
A who’s who of Atlanta tastemakers sipped cocktails and perused the shop’s swanky décor and gift items--from playful pottery to chic velvet couches--including: PR hostess with the mostess Liz Lapidus, Jonathan Baker, Todd Murphy, Nina Cheney, Sydney Lewis, Elizabeth Roth, Nick Gold, Mary Johnson, Sarah Harrison, Amy Flurry and Harriet Leibowitz.A groovy time was had by all at the shop's spring soirée. The super-mod boutique was stocked with enough kinetic patterns, colors and curvy shapes to cater to all forms of eye candy cravings. Oh, and the nattily dressed guests provided plenty of eye candy in their own right--clad in punchy paisleys, vests, hats and Missoni zig-zags galore.
Proceeds from the evening’s sales went to SCAD-Atlanta.
