Collective Spirits Gala in the Highlands

Wine, art and dining to benefit Bascom Visual Arts Center

This Highlands fling included illustrious American winemakers, some of the best chefs of the Southeast and a luxury auction—all in the name of art (and wine) cultivation

The 3-day event culminated with a grand gala, where guests enjoyed sips from renowned vintner Dick Grace of Grace Family Vineyards, alongside wines from Anamoly Vineyards, Ramey Wine Cellars, Schu Carneros Estate, Solena Estate and many more. Meanwhile, top chefs, including Joshua Hopkins of STG Trattoria, Gerry Klaskala of Aria, Mike Lata of FIG (Charleston), Scott Crawford of Herons (Cary, NC), Gary Mennie of High Cotton (Greenville, SC) and Aaron Burgau of Patois (New Orleans) created a gourmet feast. Post dinner and luxury auction, guests enjoyed a night of dancing.

The Cause

All proceeds benefitted the Bascom Visual Arts Center in the Highlands. Founded 25 years ago, The Bascom was recently reborn on its new $14 million campus of renovated, historic timbered facilities with timbered bridge entrance on 6 acres of pastoral property. For more info: www.thebascom.org
