The Georgia Chapter of JDRF raises a record $1.6 Million for the cause at the elegant spring gala.

The Highlights

Over 7000 black-tie guests enjoyed a garden party décor by Chris Macksey and Barbara Roos of Bold American Events, a lavish silent auction and cocktail, a gourmet dinner in the ballroom and an energetic live auction. Actress Elizabeth Payne and JDRF CEO Jeffrey Brewer delivered inspirational stories of hope during the dinner, while auction highlights included a trip to New York’s Spring Fashion Week 2012 and an original piece of art created by children with type 1 diabetes, with the help of local artist Melissa Payne Baker and Huff Harrington Fine Art.

The Cause

A record-breaking $1.6 million was raised to fund research and treatments for type 1 diabetes.
