Atlanta’s charitable crowd came out in packs to celebrate both couture and canines for a good cause (or should we say good paws?)
Chair Melanie Boltax and Sponsor Travis Reed of Harry Norman Realtors, Saks Fifth Avenue GM Cathie Wilson, and Atlanta Humane Society President William Shaheen and VP of Development Cathy Sleeva (and their favorite “four-leggers”) played host
Saks Fifth Avenue at Phipps Plaza
More than 170 guests enjoyed a luncheon courtesy of A Legendary Event and a couture spring fashion show, featuring designs from Chanel, Armani, Giambattista Valli, Akris, Ralph Lauren and Pizzaa Sempione. Several stylish Atlantans walked the runway with their favorite pups in tow. Humane Society Trustee Susan Gordy toted her King Charles Cavalier “Louly” in a doggie stroller while Travis Reed’s French Briard “Dysis” sported a canine-couture Gucci collar. Cindy Voyles, Su Longman, Merry and Chris Carlos, Kay Quigley, Johanna Ellis and Cheryl Espy also walked the cat walk with adorable, fluffed and buffed dogs of their own or puppies up for adoption. Among the scene-makers: Gail Habif, Harrison Rohr, Betsy Franks, Cydae Arrendale, Susan Tucker, Jean Astrop, Kitsy Rose, Karen Spiegel, Debbie Neese, Marian Goldberg, Eileen Rosencrants, Dotty Smith, Carla Wright, Jane Dean, Bonnie Speed, Lisa Fuller, Cherry Peruifoy and Maggie Catts.
