“Experiencing Art in Architecture” was the theme of this year’s black-tie cocktail honoring the post-modern, master architect behind the Michael C. Carlos Museum.

A black-tie group of culturati turned out for this year’s gala, which included cocktails, a gourmet buffet, Cartier Champagne, and unique tableaux featuring the museum’s ancient artifacts in thematic settings created by some of Atlanta’s top interior designers and architects. Among the scene-makers: Beth Webb, Raymond Goins, Robert Long, Chris Carlos, Caroline Tucker, Erika Ward, Marian Goldberg, Betsy Ayers, Chip Cheatham. A special 20th Anniversary tribute was given to the world-renowned architect Michael Graves, who built the post-modern Michael C. Carlos Museum expansion in 1993 and is a winner of a pretigious AIA Honor Award. Graves appeared in person to receive the personal tribute.
